Natalie Dormer to Play Vivien Leigh in a New TV Series on Her Life

From "Game of Thrones" to "Gone With the Wind," Natalie Dormer still wants to be *the* queen.

According to Deadline, Dormer is developing a TV series focused on two-time Oscar winner Vivien Leigh. Dormer will both produce the show and play the iconic British actress, with the series exploring Leigh's personal and professional successes and struggles.

Leigh won Academy Awards for Best Actress for playing Scarlett O'Hara in "Gone with the Wind" and Blanche DuBois in "A Streetcar Named Desire." She was married twice, including to her frequent costar Laurence Olivier from 1940 to 1960. Leigh was said to struggle with mental illness, as well as chronic tuberculosis, which was the cause of her death in 1967 at age 53.

Deadline reports that the aim is to center each episode on a specific project. Entertainment Weekly has already started dream casting some roles, suggesting Tom Hiddleston for Laurence Olivier, Sebastian Stan as Marlon Brando, Ginnifer Goodwin as Olivia de Havilland, Jack Huston for Clark Gable, and more.

Natalie Dormer (aka Queen Margaery Tyrell) can now be seen in Amazon's new adaptation of "Picnic At Hanging Rock," and in the new movie "In Darkness."
